This knife is crude as in the handle and sharp burrs on the non-cutting edges, but man about a hour of sanding the burrs, handle and stropping the blade this thing is amazing. Very light weight and now it is razor sharp. I was pretty impressed that this blade is that thin and it is not burnt or deformed from their grinding. This is what I was looking for. I wanted something that I would imagine that would be made and used by the everyday citizens in Japan in the 60's. knife is .062 thick .

Haven' try yet but it look sharp. It turn to corrosion after my first wash. Need to dry the knife right after washing with dry cloth or paper towels
