It has the most sophisticated charging algorithm I have come across - it appears to fast charge, then it pauses charging, then resumes at a lower current. Notably the cells - even AAA cells - become much less warm than I've experienced with other chargers - this I understand to be a good feature for the long-term life of cells. Also all cells are charged independently
