This is the extended edition version. For an excellent analysis of problems with some HD and 4K releases of the saga I suggest that you look at the YouTube video: "Can The Lord Of The Rings Ever be Remastered?" by Jesse Tribble. He graphically shows problems of: colour-grading, dynamic range and (in 4K) image resolution - that will guide your buying choices when selecting among the available versions. Rarewaves supplied a version with Italian packaging but the discs play perfectly in English
