I truly believe there is a golden age for the modern adaptations of an art form--the small-sized metal relief sculpture--that peaked in the Renaissance/Baroque eras. This beautiful commemorative plaquette of 1909 hits the stylistic sweet spot. It's perfectly preserved and the design of its main face is downright poetic. The reverse offers a spectacular view of Budapest overlooking the Danube. What a great purchase! Came very fast.
