And, yes, I agree with the seller that this basket was possibly Alaskan. Found many Athabascan Indian baskets that were very similar in pattern and weaving except made by like this lady's granddaughters. This was made by a master weaver. Unfortunately, today the possibility this lady would have been medicated for excessive OCD maybe even straightjacketed is great. A true Alaskan artist from the old days!!
