It doesn't look shiny like in the pictures, the surface is matte and fluff and hair gets stuck to it, the colours are also really dull, you can hardly see them. It also doesn't feel like it will last long so doesn't feel like it was worth the price. However my kid does love it, it's a favourite from the sensory toys box because of the balls inside you can squeeze and move around.
