However upon inserting the disc into the Wii U, the disc reads but doesn't load once it's booted up, and it stops spinning inside the console. No other of my Wii U games have this issue. The back of the disc has many scratches, smudges and dents. I understand preowned games and DVDs aren't always in the best condition, but I expect them to at least work how they're supposed to.
