Jacket showed some signs of ware. The smell of the jacket when it arrived was overwhelming. It was disgusting, really. I washed the item in a wool wash with real baking soda and left it out to air dry. It may have shrunk slightly but since the jacket was roomy for me it was fine. I believe the jacket is now odor-free for next season. Since I was able to remove the smell, I'm satisfied with the purchase.
