Synopsis
The Legend of Arkatak recalls early Tolkien's Silmarillion and Gabriel Garcia Marquez style. After his father's death, 7-year-old paraplegic prince Arkatak is abruptly thrown out of his royal palace because of his handicap. His cruel murderous uncle quickly usurps the throne and rules the kingdom with an iron fist. Betrayed by his family, Arkatak and his mother are ghoulishly assassinated. Arkatak survives the evil barbaric assassination but his mother perishes. Arkatak is gravely wounded and in and out of consciousness. His mother corpse is cut into pieces and fed to wild wolves. Arkatak's body is carried out of the kingdom on the back of a filthy horse cart to a far away forsaken Kingdom. His body is covered with straws and dirt. He is bleeding and he is on the edge of death. He barely hears the assassins enraging conversations. He sees the full moon, faintly, through the straws, but tonight the moon has a reddish hue. He has only one thing in mind, revenge. He is thrown and left to die alone in the middle of the night in a far away abandoned derelict haunted palace. Such is the plight of Arkatak, will he meet his maker or avenge his mother. All night long, the angel of death lurks around Arkatak in the dark haunted palace. He eventually approaches Arkatak.
