The inverter generated 400Hz, and seems to function as synchro reference, but it is not suitable in a test environment (which is what I needed it for. The 400 Hz appears to be generated by a lower frequency sawtooth or square wave, then multiplied to 400 Hz. Unfortunately the lower frequency tends to modulate the 400Hz and causes problems in API testers.
