The cable works as intended, although it has some quirks to it. For example, before I can plug the cable into my phone, I have to remove the phone case, because the 3.5mm jack has a pretty thick rubber coating, and otherwise it won't plug in. There's also a small black box that I have no idea what is used for.
The audio itself is quite nice, so the cable is most definitely worth it. (Please note that I used the military headset version)
