In my case the cable was unusable out of the box, pins are not long enough, had to remove the plastic spacer. After this change the cable works perfect.

I’ve sold many of these cables without issues. When I test, I push them in 0.5mm. That's enough to make perfect contact, with another 3mm to go.Perhaps you expected the connector to hold the weight of a heavy cable. If the Lightstrip wasn't stuck in place, it would pull out of the control box under its own weight. It's the same for cables, so they should be secured in place, as Phillips don’t provide anything to clip onto.I’m sorry, in this isolated occasion, it didn’t work out as expected.
