Synopsis
Virginia McLaughlin was a regionally renowned mural painter who distinguished herself in the latter third of her life by painting over 120 murals using the historical background of the area she painted on residential and commercial walls. She distinguished herself by painting the murals at The Mount Vernon Inn on George Washington's Estate, The GAR Building in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and the Ross House in Frederick, Maryland. She traveled as an itinerant painter for almost thirty years between Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Jeanne Blackburn captures Virginia's life work in this beautifully written and illustrated art book.
