For the price i paid for this raw book, I think it should’ve been shipped with bag and board with cardboard on each side instead of bagged with no board and light newspaper wrapped. Very lucky it wasn’t damaged.

It wasn't luck. It was the rigid cardboard and thick piece of cardboard it was packaged in, which you curiously failed to mention. Enjoy your as described book.
