- The first of five periodicals with the title "The Harvard, Magazine", this iteration was edited by students of the classes, of 1855 and 1856, Franklin Benjamin Sanborn, Charles Augustus, Chase, Phillips Brooks, James Bradstreet Greenough and Edward, Thornton Fisher. The issues are bound together in half leather, over marbled boards, 9" x 6", 488 & 268pp. The contents are in, good condition, the front cover is nearly detached and the, spine is split halfway down, attached by the rear joint., Owner's name is stamped on the spine in gilt lettering and, written on the title page.
