The MOTU 24Ao is an astoundingly good device, very well made, works on Linux perfectly with standard USB 2.0 audio i/o and a web browser interface into the unit to set it up, assign channels to processing, and so forth. The support I've received as the 3rd owner of this particular unit is quite amazing as I've posed a few technical questions, and they have also registered me as the new owner! Very good experience.
