At first I couldn't understand why I couldn't blow it up fully , especially when the box states a foot pump is enclosed and it is not. I found this item on Amazon and in the feedback there is a comment that you have to blow it up and leave it for a couple of days and then repeat this several times. So I tried it and it works! Very pleased with it now.
