I was so happy to find this. My husband has a keen interest in the US Life Saving Service, and we own and shoot the line-thowing cannons used by the USLSS and on commercial vessels of the period. He had a mug like this, but after years of use, it broke last year. So I gave this to him as part of his birthday present, and he uses it every day.
