In it's favor is it's metal case is very well made, far ahead of the plastic fantastic junk out there, some even costing more than this one. The mechanism on the other hand is the same as the ones used on $25-30 players--and that's NOT good. It sounds ok, it can thankfully be adjusted in speed (not easily unfortunately), so there's that. The rechargeable battery is good and overall it's just worth it's asking price.
