'Ender's Game' is set during the earth's future and presents an alien race who threaten to wipe out humanity in a League war. The protagonist, child Ender Wiggin is chosen to prevent the extinction of his own kind. Card had initially written a short story of the same name in 'Analog Science Fiction and Fact' magazine. The novel won the 1985 Nebula Award and the 1986 Hugo Award. It is also on the U.S Marine Corps professional reading list. Ender's Game predicted many technological advances such as handheld tablets and drone warfare.”
