Several times I thought for sure that it would tear as I tried taking if off but no. It is made of good material. The condition is amazing. The value awesome and the appearance stylish. I still believe the plastic insulator is to thin as it is heated up by operation of stove. Which deteriorates the insulator, which should be made thicker. Which is why older appliances knobs last for decades. Hopefully this improves in the future.
