For my 1999 Harley Sportster XL1200S Sport, with S & S teardrop air cleaner and standard Keihin CV40 carburetor, I installed the brass breather bolts in the 1 1/2" length (perfect length for my set-up). The bolts fit in a somewhat tight partially shrouded area, so i tightened the bolts with my needle nose pliers, which worked perfectly. Very happy with these breather bolts, look very high quality, and recommend them.
