Seller Notes: “Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: Offered for your review & consideration is this nearly ... “Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: Offered for your review & consideration is this nearly pristine, estate fresh & recently dscrv'd here in a finely appointed southern NH estate, mid-20th c American vint O/C by the well-known American painter of horses, Helene Alison. It feats a beautiful standing spotted American Pinto horse in a field, w/trees & gentle rolling hills in the background. Helene Alison was active as a painter in Pennsylvania in the mid-late 20th c, w/this signed O/C dating from 1970-1976. It's artist signed in the lower L corner of the painting. It's framed in its orig period, fork raked wooden frame & still has a metallic paper picture framer's PA label affixed to the back of one of the painting's canvas stretcher bars. The brown paper dust cover, once fully covering the back of the canvas, has since been largely torn away, now exposing the back of the canvas. The Pinto horse is wonderfully painted & has extraordinary detail. An exceptional American horse painting.”
