Seller Notes: “Good-Very Good overall vint cond: Offered is this scarce & really fantastic, Minimalist, spare & ... “Good-Very Good overall vint cond: Offered is this scarce & really fantastic, Minimalist, spare & economic, lean & mean mid-20th c Anri Italy sgnd 2-D, bas-relief, varnished & hnd pntd wooden architectural assemblage on period, woven grass matting, surrounded by a thin-profile, period Modernist walnut frame. The wall plaque's sgnd in the lower R corner w/a blk ink cursive signature 'Emilio' & has not 1 but 2 affixed Anri paper labels on the verso. The sculptural assemblage feats what appear to be a pr of Italian villas or country homes w/vernacular roofs & a hnd dec tall church steeple, pntd in gold gilt & white enml pnt, w/a triangular, cut-out walnut steeple top. The period woven grass matting isn't stained, nor does it suffer any loss. The Modernist thin-profile walnut frame is also without damage, namely fractures, edge flea-bites, stains, dings, dents or abrasions to its surfaces. Clean & crisp, w/a distinctly Minimalist demeanor. Right from a North Shore, MA finely appntd estate.”
