Out of the plastic box, the nib required tuning with brass shims, the tine were extremely tight. I noticed the nib slit was slight unaligned, but the pen writes fantastic. My only complaint about the pen is how the clip. It looks nice, but it doesn't stay in place, and slides. Either way, I would highly recommend this pen, just expect to tune the nib.
