This is such an extraordinary doll. At a basic level, both Zelensky and Patron are well made and nicely detailed, and Zelensky’s face is skillfully rendered and remarkably recognizable. At a deeper level, this doll is such a symbol of courage and determination, of endurance and resourcefulness, and of hope in the midst of suffering. It’s a privilege to own a piece of Kristina’s work, and humbling to understand the crucible in which it was created. Thank you Kristina. I will treasure this doll.
