Seller Notes: “This batch consists of 4x large (23mm) and 2x small (17mm) sized buttons - enough to fit an RAF ... “This batch consists of 4x large (23mm) and 2x small (17mm) sized buttons - enough to fit an RAF Airman's blue-grey serge tunic of the WW2 period (NB: The 1936 pattern Airman's SD Tunic had no buttons on the lower pocket flaps - they were introduced on the lower pockets in 1956). The large ones were made by 'W. Twigg & Co Ltd, Birmingham' and marked with their details on the reverse. The smaller ones have plain backs (see photos). Shanks complete. Issued and used. Slight surface wear, and could do with a clean and polish, otherwise - good detail and in good condition for age (WW2 period).”
