Seller Notes: “This vintage Athearn Blue or Yellow Box assembled kit is in very good condition. The car appears ... “This vintage Athearn Blue or Yellow Box assembled kit is in very good condition. The car appears complete with no broken parts. HOWEVER, the metal weight is missing! I'm confident someone probably had a real wood load and removed the weight due to excess weight and never replaced it when the load was removed. Also, the reason I feel this is a YELLOW BOX car is that it has what appears to be the vintage Athearn metal SPRUNG trucks. The wheels do not look factory. This car has KD Knuckle Couplers. Please note that the screws, metal coupler covers etc. may show some surface rust not surprising for the age of this car. The Athearn book states this car was introduced in 4/1960.”
