Glad the seller rescued these caddies. I have been buying older laptop "fixers" for the learning experience of how to fix them. They often ship sans HDD for privacy reasons but those sellers often don't replace the now-empty caddy. Once fixed, I clone them so I have live backup redundancy, or platforms to run various flavors of Linux. Occasionally give one to neighborhood kids that show an interest in the computer as a tool rather than an entertainment appliance.
