    The capacitors arrived quickly for overseas shipping, I installed them into my GameGear and the screen is fixed! However, there is a whining noise coming from the speaker now and the sound chip is overheating, this may be a result of the capacitors, but most likely it's my own skill issue.

    It's unlikely that your sound board problem stems from the capacitors or your skills. In Reality, the Game Gear sound board is just a small amplifier. There are two main problems with it.- A ground problem, in which case you'll need to check the traces on both sides of the card. If you see a corroded black spot, look there first.- The 8-legged chip you can see above is just a small operational amplifier, and it's often out of order. And overheating is a clear sign that this is the case ;)
