John Stowe (c. 1525-1605) was a leading historian and antiquarian in Elizabethan England. Robert Barker was the official printer to the court of Queen Elizabeth I. This is a fine black letter imprint displaying the charming idiosyncrasies of spelling and usage that characterized this transitional era in the history of the language. Well-preserved.
