There is a sprung steel internal collar onto which the tightening screws tighten this collar onto your lens housing - unfortunately, the use of this sprung steel circlip/collar makes the entire assembly too narrow and will not allow the unit to slip over the lens housing. I am therefore having to use the assembly without the internal circlip/collar and with the tightening screws used directly onto my lens housing causing minor damage to it.
