Not shown on product image by the seller (stock image, not the actual unit): scratches or missing coating on outside rim (ok) and within lenses (on black frame, will it sometimes cause flares?). Otherwise well functionning so far. No kind of "original packaging" but OK. Overall, I think it is indeed "new" but was a factory-rejected unit that never made it to retail, yet it is sold at a high retail price. At least, product was well wrapped for shipping, and incredibly fast shipping.
