The ARECA ARC-1882X SATA/SAS RAID adapter is fully compatible with my PCIe 2.0 slot and works great with my ARECA ARC-8026 SAS expander allowing up to 24x SATA/SAS HDDS/SSDs in a separate enclosure. Daisy-chained expanders can allow up to 128x HDDs/SSDs. I plan to use the second SFF-8088 external connector for an LTO tape backup system.
