This stereo wiring harness is listed as being compatible with a 2001 Mazda Miata:

Unfortunately, neither of the smaller connectors are compatible with my Alpine stereo, AND to make matters even worse the connector that adapts to the wiring harness is MUCH larger than the one in the car (I've attached a couple photos showing these). My 2001 Mazda Miata Special Edition has Bose speakers that came with the car; I haven't made any modifications to the speaker system!

What you have in picture is not OEM adapter from Mazda, and also this is standard ISO adpter on other end and it is compatible with all stereos Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, Sony.... You could also contact us and we could help you sort this out.
