I turned the bag inside out and was going to try removing and replacing it, but was not able to do it unless I wanted to disassemble the whole bag. I chose instead to sew pleats in the top edge, so at least the pockets can hold shampoo or something now. I wish this had been disclosed, as I could have bought one new for only $5 more.
