Do not know if this occurred during shipping, but would say at least some of the scratches were present prior. Have purchased other discs that arrived off the spindle, and even having broken spindles, and the discs were still NOT scratched. This was a disappointment, having been listed as "like new". Plays without issue. Not worth the price
