About this product

Product Information

When creating Checkers for the Atari 2600, Activision kept all the basic rules of the classic board game intact. All moves are diagonal, and you can only move one checker per turn, one square per move (unless jumping in a sequence). If a jump is available, you must take it. A checker becomes a king when it reaches the opponent's side of the board. Kings are the only pieces that can move backward as well as forward. The objective of the game is to capture all of your opponent's game pieces or block them so no further movement is possible.

When it's the computer's turn to move, the screen will go blank as the game is in thinking mode. In skill level one (novice), the computer thinks for five to 15 seconds per move. In skill level two (intermediate), the computer uses up to 30 seconds per move, and in the hardest skill level, number three (expert), the computer takes up two to four minutes for every turn. Game mode four pits you against a human opponent.

Item listed as mint condition, but was not mint. Case was dirty and worn, as was game cover/label. The rest of the buying experience was great.

It had minor wear. Probably not mint, but shelf wear (and not even asking if they expect a pristine all the way around no scuffs/flaws) is not something I normally note or mark down for, and if a buyer asks, I'll 100% always let them know. I am sorry they weren't fully happy with the purchase.
