One box US made - full, staples coated in varnish. Other box made in Dominican Republic - plain steel, no varnish. This was not specifically mentioned, but could be inferred from the pictures. Will still function, so not much heartburn over it. Otherwise, it is what it says on the box - won't complain too hard - they've been out of production for years.
