Instead of a click to advance the lead, the top clicks to advance lead and twists to advance the eraser. Unfortunately, the motion of writing twists the top also, so that the eraser advances far out of its range. I fixed this with a bit of tape at the spot where the top and bottom joins.

Looking around my office and over the many years of use, I can see Five (5) other electronic devices that I have entrusted to OtterBox cases to protect their contents and I have never been disappointed. Also, the trackpad is nice because I don't need to touch the screen anymore with my fingers.
