Rick's CDI brought my 1983 Honda XL600R back to life and it NOW runs well, but would not even start before as my 40 year old original CDI box caused a spark but bike no start. I had to install adapter plugs since Rick's CDI plug fits the 1985+ version of my bike. This was no problem to do. I can't really tell if the power is greater, but it runs well and now the STARTING is easier.

The original unit would cut out completely if the connectors on the unit were moved slightly. Huge improvement in starting the big XR600. One kick, and idles strong. Will try riding later in the week.
