Our gracious donors purchased New and Vintage overstocked pieces directly from Department 56 and from several different vendors, so there may be a tag on the sleeve. Since these pieces have been in our donors warehouse and then in ours for another 6+ years, I open and inspect every piece. During certain years/production lines, Department 56 factory plastic was sub-par/disintegrates. If there is the slightest question on plastic integrity I re-wrap with High Quality U-line plastic. If you choose to purchase from another seller please make sure the piece(s) and light-cord (if applicable) are wrapped in plastic.”
