Considering this item is electronic in nature, I would suggest putting a light plastic bag around the item before shipping. However, I did not experience any issues as the box was in perfect condition when I received it from the postman. I plugged the control board in and found it to work as a replacement perfectly. I did notice some that are sold do not include all of the snap-in clips (mine did), so keep an eye on exactly what you buy.
