The pan was shipped in the original box that was filthy and dented. To my dismay, the bottom is the interior pan had slight surface scratches and tiny black flecks. I contacted the seller who stated the pan was new and asked for pics. I didn’t hear back from the seller. I researched online that stated to use Dawn dish soap and a soft sponge. The pan fortunately cleaned up nicely.
It’s a great pan, but I can’t imagine what happened in storage/shipping.
