The rope for me at least is hard to judge but it has two properly looped ends that are reinforced, thus doubling the strength if needed. Tbh, if this thing attaches to something that doesn't want to move at all down below, trying to get it detached would be a show in itself. Best advice is to try not to fish in too deep and do not go near metal while holding the magnet ever. Thank you!
