Seller Notes: “These are a complete set of genuine New Old Sock (NOS) ACRO Hold-Tite Numbering Tacks Window ... “These are a complete set of genuine New Old Sock (NOS) ACRO Hold-Tite Numbering Tacks Window Markers numbered 26-50. Back in the day when things were NOT disposable, windows, storm windows, screen doors, screens and so on got taken out and put back in seasonally each year. In your old house, no two windows were exactly the same (because they were hand built and aged in place), so it was very important to know where each screen etc went, so you wouldn't be stuck with trial and error fitting. Numbering tacks made it all possible. One tack on the window sash, matching one on the screen, matching one on the storm window and eureka - you could get the changeovers done in no time. Complete set numbered 26-50 on original card with barbed shanks for better holding . Made in 1948. Some shelf wear on packaging, ready to use or display beautifully.”
