This decreases the carbon footprint of each device. The Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3250318AS is an internal hard disk with a 3.5-inch form factor. An OEM ST3250318AS is a bare drive. Each one weighs less than a pound and measures 6 by 4 by 1 inches. This size of HDD is typically installed in a 3.5-inch drive bay inside a desktop computer. You can use this to build your own computers or repair existing ones. It can fit in all types of cases ranging from full-sized towers to smaller home theater enclosures. It’s also possible to use this internal hard disk externally with a hard drive enclosure. You’ll just need a 3.5-inch enclosure with a SATA data connection. You can then bring it along on your travels to use as a portable hard drive.The ST3250318AS HDD requires power, which it receives through a standard Molex connection. When used in a desktop computer, that connection will come from the power supply unit. When used in an HDD enclosure, the hard drive will still connect internally to Molex. Exact fit for Dell Optiplex 7020 SFF. The existing Sata connector smoked and melted due to prior ebay seller (NOT this seller who provided this part Premiumgraphicx-apt) installed a Server class hard drive which pulled almost 1 amp on the 12volt rail. Replaced the hard drive (as the circuit board where the power lead connects to the hdd was carbon arced) with an SSD. Don't use enterprise hard drives in these Optiplex SFF's because the power lead wires are thin.
