This is a big, heavy recorder, but the transport packaging was absolutely first class, with extra protection in the areas that needed it most-reel spigots, LED display and switches/meters etc! Being a 100V item from Japan, I'm still waiting on a suitable transformer, so I haven't been able to test yet, but if operation is a good as initial impressions, I will be ecstatic! Highly recommend
