The starter solenoid sent to me was incompatible with my 601 Ford. The two coil terminals showed an open circuit. My tractor requires that these two posts must show continuity in order to activate the starter circuit. I have had three starter solenoids sent to me and all of them show an open circuit between the two posts. The units look identical on the outside, but they will not work on my tractor. It seems that the shipper does not pay attention to what solenoid is being shipped.
