Sharp impression on lovely thick laid paper with strengthened centrefold. Uncoloured as issued. Some foxing and darkening on edges from contact with a label (small rectangular mark) and more generally on the edges. No tears or paper loss. This rare map would definitely benefit from restoration to lighten foxing and neutralize residues on the paper. The light handling creases would likely disappear with wet treatment too.”
